Returns & Refunds
We want you to love what you ordered. If something isn't right, here's how we make it right.
Change-of-mind returns
If you change your mind after receiving your order, we accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible, items must be:
- Unused and in original condition
- In original, undamaged packaging with all accessories and documentation
- Not already installed (installed items cannot be returned for change of mind)
Return shipping costs are your responsibility for change-of-mind returns. We recommend using a tracked service as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in return transit.
Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll process your refund within 5 to 10 business days to your original payment method.
Damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, we'll fix it at no cost to you. Please follow these steps:
Document the damage
Take clear photos of the damaged item and the packaging, including any visible damage to the outside of the box.
Contact us within 48 hours
Email info@sunminglighting.com with your order number and the photos. We need to hear from you within 48 hours of delivery.
We organise the resolution
We'll arrange a replacement or full refund. Your choice. We cover all return shipping costs for damaged or incorrect items.
Faulty products
All Sunming Lighting products carry a minimum 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. If a product develops a fault during the warranty period, please visit our Warranty page for full details on how to make a claim.
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are also entitled to a remedy for major failures regardless of our returns policy. Your statutory rights are not limited by anything in this document.
Items not eligible for return
- Items that have been installed
- Items returned after 30 days without prior agreement
- Items not in original condition or packaging
- Globes and consumables (for hygiene and safety reasons)
- Custom or special-order items (unless faulty)
Refunds
Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of us receiving the returned item. You'll receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed. Please allow additional time for your bank to reflect the credit.
We do not charge restocking fees on standard returns.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
